FAQ

1. What is the MOQ

A: From one cylinder

2. What is the delivery time

A: 7–10 days EXW (Ex Works) after we receive the deposit. Once we book the air freight, we will be able to provide the exact delivery timeline to the customer's country.

3. How do you check the gas quality

A: First, our team prepares the cylinders (cleaning, drying, vacuuming, pumping, and purging before gas filling to ensure the inside of the cylinder is clean and dry). Second, we test the treated cylinders again to confirm that the interior remains clean and dry. Third, we analyze the gas after filling the cylinders and provide a COA (Certificate of Analysis).

4. Can all cylinders be recycled

A: Generally, the service life of seamless steel cylinders is over 20 years. Disposable cylinders, however, are strictly for single use.

5. Can we send empty cylinders back to China for refilling

A: Yes. Once the gas is used up, you can return the empty cylinders to us for refilling. Please inform us prior to shipment so we can arrange customs clearance for the cylinders in China.

6. Available Cylinder and Valve Standards

A: Cylinder Standards: DOT-3AA, ISO9809, GB5099, TC-3AAM, EN1964, KGS

Valve Standards: DISS, CGA, DIN, BS, AFNOR, JIS

7. Can I ship LCL with my other general cargo

A: Our products are classified as Class 2.2 Dangerous Goods (DG) and must be shipped accordingly. Shipping them as general cargo is illegal, so we must book DG transport with the carrier. If you have general cargo, it can be combined with this shipment, provided the entire load is shipped under DG standards

Customized CH4 N2 Calibration Gas Methane in Nitrogen — AGEM

AGEM presents a precision-engineered solution for laboratories, industrial monitoring, environmental testing, and instrument manufacturers: customized CH4 N2 calibration gas, commonly referenced as methane calibration gas or CH4 N2 mix. Designed to meet stringent gas calibration standards, this customized CH4 N2 calibration gas methane in nitrogen product provides reliable, repeatable, and traceable mixtures for instrument calibration, quality control, and regulatory compliance. As AIR GAS ELECTRONIC MATERIALS (AGEM) brings decades of gas manufacturing and RD expertise, customers receive a CH4 N2 mix that integrates advanced blending, rigorous testing, and tailored concentration ranges to support diverse analytical and monitoring requirements.

Product features and composition

The customized CH4 N2 calibration gas methane in nitrogen is formulated as a CH4 N2 mix with methane concentrations precisely set in nitrogen, available in a wide concentration range from sub-ppm levels to percent-level blends. Each cylinder is prepared under controlled conditions to ensure the CH4 N2 mix homogeneity and stability. Methane calibration gas cylinders are provided with certified concentrations and detailed documentation that align with internationally recognized gas calibration standards. The CH4 N2 mix can be supplied with various purities of nitrogen diluent to suit specific instrument compatibility and detection limits, while traceability documents confirm the methane calibration gas concentration chain back to primary standards where needed.

Applications and use cases

AGEM’s methane calibration gas, presented as CH4 N2 mix, is ideal for a broad array of applications including ambient air monitoring, emissions testing, methane leak detection system calibration, industrial process control, sensor development, and laboratory reference standards. Users calibrate gas chromatographs, infrared gas analyzers, flame ionization detectors, and other methane-sensitive analytical instruments with methane calibration gas to verify response, linearity, and detection thresholds. For trace gas calibration needs, AGEM’s CH4 N2 mix supports low-level methane calibration for environmental compliance monitoring and greenhouse gas inventories. The methane calibration gas is also essential for quality assurance programs in manufacturing and for testing methane sensor arrays used in safety systems.

Innovation and technical advantages

AGEM leverages advanced blending technology and RD capabilities to produce a customized CH4 N2 mix with exceptional accuracy and long-term stability. The methane calibration gas manufacturing process uses high-precision mass flow control and gravimetric blending, ensuring the CH4 N2 mix meets tight tolerance specifications. AGEM’s commitment to uncompromised product excellence means each methane calibration gas cylinder undergoes rigorous verification against gas calibration standards and is subject to stability testing to confirm concentration retention over time. The CH4 N2 mix benefits from AGEM’s expertise in specialty and calibration gases, offering tailored cylinder sizes, concentration tolerances, and certificate options to fit diverse operational workflows.

Quality control and certification

Every methane calibration gas cylinder from AGEM includes certification and documentation that adhere to recognized gas calibration standards. Customers receive a certificate of analysis detailing the CH4 N2 mix concentration, uncertainty values, and the calibration method used. These methane calibration gas certificates support trace gas calibration and regulatory audits by providing evidence of method traceability and measurement uncertainty. AGEM’s quality control processes incorporate regular inspections, laboratory verification, and adherence to manufacturing protocols to ensure the CH4 N2 mix consistently meets specified criteria. For critical applications, AGEM can provide stability data and recertification options to demonstrate ongoing compliance with gas calibration standards.

Customization and flexibility

AGEM offers extensive customization options for methane calibration gas in CH4 N2 mix form. Concentration levels can be tailored to user requirements, from ultra-trace methane calibration gas for sensitive instruments to higher-percentage CH4 N2 mix for industrial process calibration. Cylinder sizes and packaging are configurable to match deployment needs, whether for portable field kits, fixed-site calibration stations, or laboratory inventories. Additional services include custom labeling, multi-tiered certification packages, and compatibility testing with client instrumentation. This depth of customization ensures that the methane calibration gas supplied as a CH4 N2 mix integrates seamlessly with each customer’s calibration protocol and operational constraints.

Traceability and support for trace gas calibration

Trace gas calibration is a critical concern for many users, and AGEM’s CH4 N2 mix is built to support trace-level methane calibration with verifiable traceability to primary standards. The methane calibration gas documentation details calibration hierarchy, uncertainty budgeting, and measurement method, enabling customers to rely on the CH4 N2 mix for precision instrument validation and regulatory reporting. AGEM’s technical team provides application support, advising on best practices for gas handling, dilution strategies, and calibration frequency to maintain measurement accuracy. For laboratories and monitoring networks conducting trace gas calibration, AGEM offers customized solutions that align with measurement quality objectives and accreditation requirements.

Safety and handling

Proper handling and storage are essential for all calibration gases, including methane calibration gas in CH4 N2 mix. AGEM supplies each methane calibration gas cylinder with safety information, handling guidelines, and storage recommendations to minimize hazards and protect concentration integrity. AGEM can advise on appropriate regulators, fittings, and leak detection practices to ensure safe deployment of the CH4 N2 mix in field or laboratory environments.
