1. What is the MOQ
A: From one cylinder
2. What is the delivery time
A: 7–10 days EXW (Ex Works) after we receive the deposit. Once we book the air freight, we will be able to provide the exact delivery timeline to the customer's country.
3. How do you check the gas quality
A: First, our team prepares the cylinders (cleaning, drying, vacuuming, pumping, and purging before gas filling to ensure the inside of the cylinder is clean and dry). Second, we test the treated cylinders again to confirm that the interior remains clean and dry. Third, we analyze the gas after filling the cylinders and provide a COA (Certificate of Analysis).
4. Can all cylinders be recycled
A: Generally, the service life of seamless steel cylinders is over 20 years. Disposable cylinders, however, are strictly for single use.
5. Can we send empty cylinders back to China for refilling
A: Yes. Once the gas is used up, you can return the empty cylinders to us for refilling. Please inform us prior to shipment so we can arrange customs clearance for the cylinders in China.
6. Available Cylinder and Valve Standards
A: Cylinder Standards: DOT-3AA, ISO9809, GB5099, TC-3AAM, EN1964, KGS
Valve Standards: DISS, CGA, DIN, BS, AFNOR, JIS
7. Can I ship LCL with my other general cargo
A: Our products are classified as Class 2.2 Dangerous Goods (DG) and must be shipped accordingly. Shipping them as general cargo is illegal, so we must book DG transport with the carrier. If you have general cargo, it can be combined with this shipment, provided the entire load is shipped under DG standards

AGEM presents the 8L Standard Mixture NO O2 CO SO2 Nitrogen Calibration Gas Carbon Monoxide in Nitrogen Gas Mixture, a precision-engineered calibration gas solution optimized for demanding analytical and industrial environments. This product is formulated to meet rigorous quality control standards and deliver consistent, reliable performance across applications such as environmental monitoring, emissions testing, industrial safety checks, and laboratory instrument calibration. Crafted with AGEM’s decades of expertise in specialty and calibration gases, this 8L cylinder blend supports high-accuracy calibration routines for gas analyzers and sensors.
Product Features and Composition
The 8L Standard Mixture contains controlled concentrations of nitrogen (as the balance gas) with precise additions of nitric oxide (NO), oxygen (O2), carbon monoxide (CO), and sulfur dioxide (SO2). Each cylinder is manufactured to exacting specifications to ensure stability and homogeneity of the mixture over its working life. AGEM employs stringent quality assurance measures—traceable preparation, batch testing, and calibrated filling systems—to minimize composition drift and guarantee repeatable calibration results.
Key features include:
- Precision-mixed multi-component gas blend with certified concentrations.
- Nitrogen balance for stability and compatibility with most analyzers.
- Small, portable 8L cylinder format for field and lab convenience.
- Certificate of Analysis (COA) accompanying every cylinder for traceability.
- Leak-tested, valve-protected cylinder with standard fitting options.
- Long shelf-life under recommended storage conditions.
Applications
This calibration gas mixture is particularly well-suited for applications where accurate gas sensing and analyzer performance are critical. Typical use cases include:
- Air quality monitoring: calibrating ambient air monitors and reference instruments to ensure accurate pollutant readings for compliance and research.
- CO detection innovations: validating and calibrating carbon monoxide detectors and sensors used in industrial, commercial, and residential safety systems.
- Industrial gas safety: routine calibration of workplace gas detectors and fixed monitoring systems to protect personnel and comply with safety regulations.
- Emissions testing and combustion analysis: setting reference points for exhaust analyzers and multi-gas sensors used in process optimization and regulatory reporting.
- Laboratory and R&D instrumentation: establishing known reference points for analytical instruments during method development and performance verification.
Innovation and Technical Advantages
AGEM’s 8L Standard Mixture embodies several innovation points and technical advantages that set it apart in the calibration gas market. The formulation process leverages advanced mixing techniques and high-precision metering equipment to produce highly uniform blends. AGEM’s research and development capabilities allow for iterative improvements in gas handling, stabilization additives where applicable, and contamination control, ensuring that each cylinder meets stringent purity and stability targets.
Technical advantages include:
- High-accuracy concentration control achieved through gravimetric or volumetric preparation validated by analytical testing.
- Reduced cross-interference and memory effects through high-purity nitrogen balance and rigorously cleaned cylinder interiors.
- Optimized cylinder sizing and valve selection for portable calibration workflows without compromising on gas longevity.
- Robust quality control: every batch undergoes validation testing and is released with a Certificate of Analysis, providing end users with confidence in measurement traceability.
- Regional support and consistency: AGEM’s manufacturing and RD infrastructure supports multiple regions, ensuring reliable supply and consistent product specifications worldwide.
Compliance and Quality Assurance
Calibrating instruments with reliable reference gases is essential for regulatory compliance and operational safety. AGEM adheres to international best practices for calibration gas production, including documented procedures for cylinder preparation, filling, and testing. The 8L Standard Mixture is accompanied by documentation that supports laboratory quality systems, including COAs and safety data. AGEM’s commitment to uncompromised product excellence means frequent internal audits and routine performance verification across production lines.
Advantages for Users
End users benefit from tangible operational advantages when selecting AGEM’s 8L Standard Mixture. The compact 8L format is ideal for field technicians conducting on-site calibrations, while the certified concentrations and COAs enable traceable calibration records required by many regulatory frameworks. With stable chemistry and minimal drift, users can expect fewer calibration interventions, lower downtime, and greater confidence in instrument readings. This mixture supports a wide range of sensor technologies—electrochemical, non-dispersive infrared (NDIR), and metal-oxide sensors—facilitating seamless integration into existing calibration workflows.
Practical Recommendations for Use
To maximize performance and value, AGEM recommends storing cylinders upright in a cool, ventilated area away from direct heat or sunlight. Use compatible regulators and fittings to avoid contamination and follow established gas handling protocols during cylinder changeovers. Always consult the COA for exact concentration values and expiration guidance, and follow instrument manufacturer guidelines for multi-point calibration procedures.
Market Relevance and Trends
As calibration gas trends evolve, the need for accurate, reliable reference gases continues to grow. The increasing deployment of air quality monitoring networks and the push for enhanced industrial gas safety underscore demand for robust calibration solutions. Innovations in CO detection and multi-pollutant monitoring place greater emphasis on calibration gas quality and traceability. AGEM’s 8L Standard Mixture addresses these needs by providing a dependable, portable calibration standard that supports modern monitoring and detection systems.
