FAQ

1. What is the MOQ

A: From one cylinder

2. What is the delivery time

A: 7–10 days EXW (Ex Works) after we receive the deposit. Once we book the air freight, we will be able to provide the exact delivery timeline to the customer's country.

3. How do you check the gas quality

A: First, our team prepares the cylinders (cleaning, drying, vacuuming, pumping, and purging before gas filling to ensure the inside of the cylinder is clean and dry). Second, we test the treated cylinders again to confirm that the interior remains clean and dry. Third, we analyze the gas after filling the cylinders and provide a COA (Certificate of Analysis).

4. Can all cylinders be recycled

A: Generally, the service life of seamless steel cylinders is over 20 years. Disposable cylinders, however, are strictly for single use.

5. Can we send empty cylinders back to China for refilling

A: Yes. Once the gas is used up, you can return the empty cylinders to us for refilling. Please inform us prior to shipment so we can arrange customs clearance for the cylinders in China.

6. Available Cylinder and Valve Standards

A: Cylinder Standards: DOT-3AA, ISO9809, GB5099, TC-3AAM, EN1964, KGS

Valve Standards: DISS, CGA, DIN, BS, AFNOR, JIS

7. Can I ship LCL with my other general cargo

A: Our products are classified as Class 2.2 Dangerous Goods (DG) and must be shipped accordingly. Shipping them as general cargo is illegal, so we must book DG transport with the carrier. If you have general cargo, it can be combined with this shipment, provided the entire load is shipped under DG standards

AGEM Calibration Mixture Gas: 90% Argon and 10% Methane — Precision ArCH4 Cylinder for Laboratory and Industrial Calibration

AGEM introduces a meticulously formulated calibration mixture gas composed of 90% argon and 10% methane, supplied in a 50L high-purity ArCH4 cylinder designed for demanding calibration and analytical tasks. This argon methane calibration blend is engineered to meet stringent gas mixture certification standards and to support applications ranging from laboratory-grade instrument tuning to industrial sensor verification. AGEM’s lab-grade QA gases program ensures that every cylinder of this argon methane calibration product undergoes comprehensive testing and documentation to deliver consistent performance and traceability for critical measurement processes.

Product Features and Composition

The AGEM 90% Argon 10% Methane calibration gas combines high-purity argon with a precisely controlled concentration of methane to produce a robust calibration mixture for mass spectrometers, gas chromatographs, and infrared analyzers. The high-purity ArCH4 cylinder contains a stable mixture that resists fractionation and drift during transport and storage. Each cylinder is accompanied by a certificate of analysis as part of AGEM’s gas mixture certification approach, providing verified composition, impurity limits, and batch traceability. The argon methane calibration profile makes this cylinder an ideal reference standard for calibration labs and instrument service providers.

Applications and Use Cases

This argon methane calibration gas is suitable for a broad spectrum of calibration tasks. The 90% argon and 10% methane ratio is optimized for calibrating methane detection channels, tuning mass spectrometers for hydrocarbon analysis, and verifying response curves for gas chromatographs. Environmental monitoring stations, process control systems, and safety sensor manufacturers rely on this argon methane calibration mixture for routine instrument checks. In semiconductor Fabs and electronics manufacturing, where AGEM specializes, the high-purity ArCH4 cylinder is used to confirm analyzer performance and ensure process gas monitors remain within required tolerances. The same calibration mixture supports QA labs seeking lab-grade QA gases that deliver reproducible results across analytical platforms.

Innovation and Technical Advantages

AGEM leverages decade-plus RD experience and a stringent quality management system to produce this argon methane calibration gas. Innovations include refined blending techniques and automated mixing controls that ensure repeatable composition at the 90% argon and 10% methane ratio. AGEM’s specialized filling lines and in-line verification allow for real-time detection of anomalies, ensuring each high-purity ArCH4 cylinder matches declared specifications. The company’s gas mixture certification process involves certified reference standards, calibrated analyzers, and documented methodologies that align with international calibration and metrology best practices.

Technical advantages of this calibration mixture gas include low impurity levels, minimal reactive contaminants, and exceptional concentration stability over time. AGEM’s control of oxygen, moisture, and hydrocarbon impurities reduces baseline noise in analytical instruments and prevents contamination of sensitive detectors. The robust packaging and valve systems used for the 50L cylinders minimize permeation and leakage, extending shelf life and preserving the integrity of this argon methane calibration blend during storage and field use.

Quality Assurance and Certification

AGEM’s commitment to uncompromised product excellence is reflected in comprehensive quality assurance protocols applied to each cylinder. Every high-purity ArCH4 cylinder undergoes strict QC testing, with results documented in a gas mixture certification report. This report includes measured concentrations, impurity profiles, leak testing results, and traceability to calibration standards. AGEM’s lab-grade QA gases program also supports custom certification levels upon request, enabling customers to select calibration gas products that match their regulatory and metrological needs.

Safety and Handling

Safe handling practices are central to using any calibration gas cylinder. AGEM supplies clear handling instructions and storage recommendations for the argon methane calibration cylinders, including proper securing, valve protection, and ventilation precautions. The 50L high-purity ArCH4 cylinder is fitted with industry-standard valve connections to ensure compatibility with common calibration manifolds and regulators. AGEM’s documentation includes material safety data and transport information so labs and field technicians can integrate this argon methane calibration gas into their routines without ambiguity.

Customization and Supply Chain Support

AGEM offers flexibility for customers requiring alternative cylinder sizes, concentrations, or additional certification options. Whether a calibration laboratory needs multiple high-purity ArCH4 cylinders with identical certificates for cross-checking instruments or an industrial user requires on-site supply continuity, AGEM’s global supply network can accommodate these logistics. The company’s RD capabilities enable tailored blends and enhanced certification levels for specialized applications, ensuring that the argon methane calibration solution aligns with specific validation protocols.
