Ethylene propylene

AGEM has a breakthrough progress on a special material named ethylene propylene. Ethylene propylene is a type of plastic is a combination of two components, ethylene and propylene. This is a very useful and serves rather many purposes in factories and industries. For example, hexafluoropropylene is an essential material used in electrical insulation to help protect wires, plastic feet on kitchen appliances to help stabilize them, door seals that help keep out air and moisture, and cables for electronic devices to help them function. Ethylene propylene has many uses, making it an important material in numerous everyday products we encounter.

The Benefits and Drawbacks of Using Ethylene Propylene in Automotive Manufacturing

Ethylene Propylene is often used in various places and a specific case is car manufacturing. Ethylene Propylene Rubber (EPM) is quite useful in vehicles, especially because it can withstand oil, a major requirement for car parts that come in contact with engine fluids. This rubber can also deal with harsh weather conditions such as intense heat from the sun, freezing cold temps, wetness from rain or snow. But ethylene propylene rubber has its downsides. It can be torn more easily (compared to some other materials, not the flimsy ones ace in the market), and it can be a bit stiff, which may affect how it fits in some areas of the car. It also can be more expensive than the other kinds of rubber used in vehicles. However, AGEM is focusing on improving existing material, in this case, methyl chloride, to make cars stronger and cheaper by creating advanced coatings.
